The Empress

The Empress is the card of feminine energy. She is the archetypal mother — whether giving birth to an actual child or to an idea, she represents that inside of us which seeks to create. The Empress also reminds us to pay attention to our bodies and the physical world around us. She asks us to remember that world has pleasure as well as pain and that we’re entitled to enjoy it.
Traditional associations: mother, maternal feelings, a nurturing person. The Goddess, Mother Earth, the motherland. The anima. Creativity and creative action. Fertility. Pregnancy, a desire to give birth to something. Abundance, prosperity. Harmony with your surroundings. The physical body, sensuousness. Good health, physical and emotional well-being.
