The High Priestess’ plants: almond, hazel, moonwort, peony, pomegranate
Almond
Magickal Uses: Self-protection, fruitfulness, virginity. Abundance, money, prosperity, success in business ventures. Wisdom. Love, good for handfastings / marriage ceremonies. Also said to help overcome alcoholism.
Hazel
Magickal Uses: The tree of wisdom. Divination, especially for water or hidden treasure, especially if it’s buried in the earth. In Celtic lore, it’s said eating the nuts will grant you divine wisdom. Gaining knowledge, wisdom, intelligence, insight and inspiration. Enhances meditation. Luck, fertility, grants wishes. Purification, anti-lightening, protection. Makes good all-purpose ritual wands. Giving a bag of nuts to a bride or carrying a few in your pocket is said to ensure fertility.
Moonwort
Magickal Uses: love, money.
Pomegranates
Magickal Uses: divination, luck. wishes, wealth, fertility.
Peony
Magickal Uses: protection, exorcism, purification. According to magickal lore, hanging a bit of the root around the neck of someone who’s suffering from an enchantment will break the spell.
