The High Priestess: Rune
Posted By Jade on July 2, 2009
I found three runes attributed to The High Priestess:
- Ur/Uruz
- Othila
- Pethro
úr / ūruz (auroch) – harmony, order, inner strength, ability to tackle new challenges by drawing on inner strength, permanent, lasting, good fortune, healing powers, good fortune, self-knowledge, tenacity, force, freedom, untamed potential, wisdom, health, Unexpected change for the better, connection with other worlds/selves.
Negatively – discord, lacking inner strength, in a rut, weakness, obsession, domination by others
There is a double reference to the horns of aurochs… . This may be interpreted to mean that although the auroch is firmly intrenched in the physical world he nevertheless aspires to toward the spiritual world… . Traditionally, horns symbolize the penetration of another world.”
